Or Alaska? Or Europe?
Did you know there’s an “on” season and an “off” season for most every destination in the world?
This will greatly affect the price of your vacation. The “on” season is typically peak season, in Europe that would mean summer for Northern and Central European destinations, as the weather is wonderful at that time.
In locales where the weather is always great, it tends to price by tourist times, i.e. when the most tourists visit-like when families are able to travel, meaning kids are out of school, or a holiday weekend. Like Disney World…Christmas is way higher priced than two weeks prior to the holiday.
So, when is the best time to go to the Caribbean? Cheapest is a whole different time of the year from “best.” Cheapest is Fall…August, September, and October…it’s also end of the hurricane season. You can often have pretty rainy weather on your trip to the Caribbean in the Fall…or you can have some beautiful weather. Either way, it will be humid.
The best time in the Caribbean tends to be the end of December through early April. The air isn’t as humid, the temps are mid 80’s and the tourist season (except for Spring Breakers) hasn’t really happened yet, so the employees tend to be more agreeable.
There isn’t really a bad season, however, June through November is hurricane season and a very serious reason to get trip cancellation insurance-which allows you to reschedule, postpone, or even cancel if necessary.
A little research, or some questions to a travel agent, goes a long way in planning your next dream vacation!
