To Add Trip Protection or Not

Have you ever planned a big trip and then decided to not add the trip protection? Many people do. It’s an extra expense that so many do not want to add, especially after all the extras on the vacation any way.

However, it is an absolute necessity in this world. (Especially with worldwide pandemics, earthquakes, volcanoes, and just our own incidents)

You cannot predict the future. None of us know for a fact that a loved one won’t pass or you’ll not break a foot, or a child get ill before, or during, a trip.

So, for about $100 bucks a person, you can add some trip protection…it can safeguard your deposit or money you’ve paid to the tour operator or cruise line and give you some peace of mind regarding the trip. This is generally offered by the tour operators.

There’s also a 3rd party trip protection that can offer medical coverage during the vacation. That means if you have to be air-lifted out of a country, an island, or off a cruise ship, you’re covered. It can also offers coverage in foreign hospitals, which expect CASH for any treatment, procedures, or even visits, up front, not afterwards.

And, if the very worst happens, and someone unexpectedly passes while on a trip, the 3rd party coverage will help with that as well.

So, adding a little extra is smart planning and a great investment on your vacation expenditures. I hope no one EVER has to use it, but it is better than loosing your entire amount paid, or spending hundreds of thousands of dollars if something goes awry.
