Recently, Sunday as a matter of fact, I lost a long time friend, Case. He had had some health issues, but his cause of death is as yet unknown. It’s really got to me and of course, makes me think of my achievements, and goals in life.
One of my goals I had when I was 16, which happens to be the age I was when I met Case, was to see as much of the world as I could. Now, I’ve experienced some of this wide world, but not nearly enough. I’ve let too many “things” get in my way lately.
We all have “things” holding us down or back from accomplishing some of our goals, but we shouldn’t let our “daily grind” keep us from LIVING, too. Case enjoyed life, and definitely lived on his terms, but I cannot always say the same about myself.
While I’m greatly saddened to have lost a friend I’ve known so long, I’m reminded we are not guaranteed any certain number of days in our life. If I want to see some more of this world, I need to get out there and just experience life. I hope you do, too.
